Murat Yulek is managing director of PGlobal Global Advisory Services, which provides investment and corporate finance advice, management consultancy and training programmes. He is also chairman of the board of TAIB, a leading Turkish investment bank. Previously, he held senior posts with organisations including the International Monetary Fund, the Islamic Development Bank, the World Bank and the Turkish State Planning Organisation, at which he gained extensive project finance and economic development experience.
Dr Yulek, an associate professor of economics, has taught at Yale and Georgetown universities in the US and serves on the advisory boards of several Turkish and international institutions. He has published a number of books and articles on economics, finance and development and writes columns for Turkish and international newspapers and financial journals. He has a BSc from Bo?aziçi (Bosphorus) University, Istanbul, an MA and a PhD from Bilkent University, Ankara, and also studied in the US, where he gained an MSM (management) degree from Boston University and an MBA from Yale University.
